“This piece incarnates the perpetual struggle of being, faced with searching for ways to evolve and change. The dancer is overwhelmed by the desire to keep moving forwards – an obsession brought to life through the body. Finding himself in unstable surroundings, the dancer is torn between his different emotions. Each step forwards is a struggle.”

FORWARD is born from the proposition of choreographer Philippe Saire to Edouard Hue to be part of the program Danse & Dramaturgie, an initiative by Théâtre Sévelin 36, in association with Dampfzentrale Bern, Tanzhaus Zürich, TU-Théâtre de l’Usine, ROXY Birsfelden.
